If you like my writing but you don’t like how I haven’t done any of it since whenever, I recommend you subscribe to the following smarty pants newsletter:

Oh crap I forgot that the substack mobile editor doesn’t let me copy and paste.

Try this: Google Freddy deBoer.

Find his substack.

read his article titled something like “tell me one more time what it is you want me to do about Covid.”

Subscribe if you like it because all his stuff has the same casual smart sincere feel to it.

This has been a 70% type effort at sharing a great newsletter with you.

I like his newsletter so much it makes me wanna write again.

—

since I last wrote I got divorced (as in got my papers signed by a judge), quit drinking, started doing push-ups, lost 30 lbs, stopped doing push-ups, started drinking, gained 20 lbs.

The gaining of the weight and the starting drinking again were part of a coordinated life-wide effort to reduce my general life efforts to 70%, in a truly life-wide all encompassing sort of way. To basically live like no one is keeping score.

i feel like I’ve really knocked moderation in all things out of the park and I’m thinking it’s time to do, call it, moderation in many things.

I’d like to up my life efforts in the areas of:

-budgets

-shopping for groceries

-cooking food

-folding washed laundry

-not borrowing cash from my kids leading up to payday

-writing a newsletter

Let’s call it 90% effort in a few things. Coming right up.
